Wilmington, Ohio:  The charm and simplicity of early American country decor will fill the Montgomery Room exhibit hall when the Ohio Country Antique Show returns to the Roberts Centre on Saturday, October 27. Now in its 14th season of semi-annual sales, this specialized “traditional and primitives” presentation celebrates our nation’s formative years through the furnishings, art, and everyday objects found in the homes of the period. Featuring fifty dealers from several states, Ohio Country is firmly established as an important resource for owners of historical properties, restoration professionals, decorators, and collectors from the Midwest and beyond.

The show and sale’s reputation is built on a solid offering of authentic antique furniture in styles ranging from colonial era formal and pioneer log cabin rustic to later 19th century farmhouse essentials. Colorful, original painted surfaces on furnishings are an Ohio Country hallmark. Decorative accessories and collector’s items include: woodenwares and stoneware; quilts, coverlets, and homespun textiles; paintings, lithographs, and folk art; early advertising and ephemera; historical Americana; period toys and children’s items; plus, garden and architectural artifacts. All merchandise offered for sale is guaranteed as represented.

The Ohio Country Antique Show opens to the public at 9AM Saturday morning. There will be no preview or early buying period beforehand. Adult admission is $7.00 and parking is free. Show activities end at 3PM.

The Roberts Convention Centre is located north of Wilmington at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Interstate 71 (exit #50). The location is less than an hour’s drive from the Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton metro areas. The complex includes a Holiday Inn hotel for overnight guests and contemporary bistro restaurant for dining and relaxation.
