Wilmington, Ohio: Queen City Shows has announced the dates for its 14th year of semiannual Ohio Country Antique Shows at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington, Ohio. The spring session will be held on Saturday, March 17 and the fall show is scheduled for Saturday, October 27. Featured in Maine Antique Digest, Antique Week and Early American Life Magazine, the country themed show is an established resource for authentic, traditional antiques from our nation’s formative years.
Each Ohio Country Antique Show features 50 regional and national dealers representing several states. Vendors are chosen for inventories that include late 18th through early 20th century furnishings and decorative accessories in styles ranging from colonial formal to log cabin rustic.
The rural, small town character of early America literally comes alive in the booths and room settings assembled at the show. Besides an impressive selection of both large and small furniture, shoppers can choose among a variety of appropriate accent pieces for the home: primitive woodenware and stoneware; handmade quilts and coverlets; formal and naïve paintings; historical lithographs; folk art; early advertising and general store items; ephemera; toys and children’s items; and, garden and architectural artifacts. All merchandise is guaranteed as represented.
The Ohio Country Antique Show opens to the public at 9 A.M. Saturday. There will be no preview or early buying period beforehand. Adult admission is $7.00 and parking is free. Show activities end at 3 P.M.
The Roberts Centre is located north of Wilmington at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Interstate 71 (exit #50). The facility is less than an hour’s drive from either Cincinnati or Columbus, and about 45 minutes from Dayton.
